As a professional airline pilot, I stay in at least three hotels per week all over the country, some of which are Crown Plazas but this was by far the worst! I was attending a pilot’s convention in Memphis with my girlfriend. The conference hotel was full but the Crown Plaza was the overflow hotel, so I booked a room there. Upon arrival in the room, we noticed a bed bug crawling on the pillow, along with hair that had been left there. We immediately went to the front desk, reported the incident, and requested a different room. Unfortunately, the second room on a different floor, wasn’t much better. The carpet was filthy, what appeared to be blood splatters appeared on te bathroom wall and the toilet did not flush! We returned to the front desk and were told this time that there were no more rooms available, so if we agreed, our reservation would be cancelled and a refund issued, as the room was pre-paid. Almost a week has past with no refund and the manager says they are investigating the incident.
