Rather than staying at the more generic hotels near the station, we decided to pay a little extra as it was my birthday and this hotel looked a little more fancy.
I think that the pictures oversell it a little. It’s on a backroad, quite a long way from the station. If you have lots of luggage, you’ll need to take a bus or cab to get to it.
It has a self-service check in which someone to help from 09:00 in the morning but not real hotel services. We have been sending out luggage around Japan via the Ta-q-bin service and whilst this hotel accepts your luggage, they won’t send it from here which is a pain.
We were unlucky in that our room was on the ground floor with a view of a car park but the rooms are clean and modern. Ours had a washing machine and a drying room which was useful.
Overall, a nice hotel but not worth the premium. If I was travelling to Takamatsu again, I’d just stay near the station and get a similar room that is more convenient for much less
