This was a pure oasis. The rooms are clean and zen-like (which means no desk to do work at, which I could have used), but lovely natural materials for the furniture, quiet, there’s no lobby area to hang out in but the use of wood and stone throughout, the 2nd floor pool (which is small and shady in the afternoon but similarly relaxing and oasis like), and the convenience to the beach-across a small street and off the busy main strip in Isla Verde was wonderful.

I have mixed feelings.
The hotel is in a great location in front of the beach. The building needs some serious maintenance and work. The windows and glass doors need some cleaning to be done. The renovation looks incomplete. Some things are new, some are not and need replacing. The staff is friendly but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Very comfortable bed,,,,,restaurant on top floor was very expensive ($75 with tip for breakfast for 2)....Nice perk was beach chairs/umbrella came with room. Room was good in size also. Overall the building needs to be maintained better, outside glass needs to be cleaned, from of building needed sweeping, ice you had to ask front desk for, I didn't see any vending but a Walgreens was within 3 mins walking distance. Hotel is close to airport and short taxi drive to Old San Juan/ Condondo beach area,,,,,,,and beach is directly in the front of the hotel so very convenient

The property has a rustic meets island vibe. Its very much a boutique type property. There are renovations going on (not sure of the property prior name). But that didn't interfere with my stay. The hotel staff is AMAZING! They are genuinely helpful and kind. At both the on property restaurants, you can't go wrong with either. ZUMO (Japanese restaurant) & AWWA restaurant (raw bar) are PHENOMENAL! As are the waitstaff. The beach is just a few steps from the hotel. Rolando sits outside and will happily serve your heart's desires with an umbrella. Transportation is easy, Uber or have a priviate van from the property. Gigi the hotel is about 10 mins away!
