Summer 24 visit
The room was tiny, as we expected. The front desk staff was very friendly. But they charged us an extra $50 non-refundable tax on top of hotels.com reservation that I could not understand. The hotel is in a very nice residential neighborhood, than regular touristy spots. We were able to enjoy the quiet and have the local experience, as we wanted. They have a very cute tiny patio that was fun for my younger one to visit.

A nice clean, comfortable, and convenient location for our stay. No frills or particular ambience, but basic and a good value. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Great neighborhood with many options for dining and walking. Close to Vondelpark and Tram route. Would recommend.

Helpful and friendly staff. Good sized room for a solo traveller and it was clean, with good lighting and shower. The area is a nice one to stay in, with Vondelpark nearby and an easy route to the main tourist areas, either walking or by tram. Would happily stay here again.

An enjoyable and comfortable stay at the Apple Inn. A spacious room. Tram 2 runs just outside the hotel so very convenient. Airport express bus station is 5 mins walk away and operates regularly so excellent for travellers/tourists.

Decent hotel for the price but needs a lot of work
Small hotel in two connected residential buildings. Very narrow stairs to the second floor so beware if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues. Room was a decent size and turned out to a quiet garden which was nice. The hotel (and room) is really in need of some TLC - paint, lampshades (dirty) etc. Shower was decent but again a bit dirty and run down. Stayed in room 47.

Great location in the Museum district with a tram outside the door and near to a stop on direct bus service from airport. Lots of good restaurants, bars and cafes nearby and close walk to many attractions. Our room was a little compact and the bathroom very small but for the overnight stay we had it was perfectly OK. the staff were very helpful with local information and breakfast was a good buffet for 12.50 euros. a very quiet location even with the trams.

The hotel was selected mainly for the location as I wanted to be very near to transport services. This is very easy to find and a few mins walk for the bus/ tram stops Be aware that the stairs are extremely steep and very narrow and there isn’t a lift Just a minor niggle but the water in the shower unit didn’t immediately clear and I stopped my shower as I wasn’t sure how close I was to flooding the bathroom Staff for check in/out were very friendly and helpful

I read in a previous post there were no lifts and you had to use the staircase to get to the room, which wouldn't have been a problem, but the stairs were narrow and winding, difficult when you have luggage. The room was a lot smaller than expected and the bathroom. A comfortable stay for 1 night and convenient for trams.

A bit on the noisy side with paper-thin walls, but it did what it had to do. Gave us a place to sleep and a place to have a shower. A really nice shower. We did know about the stairs and no elevator before we checked in but it was a bit of a pain to climb when you are at the top. We were offered another room with twin beds on a lower level.

We were very disappointed with this place! While the pictures on the hotel website and Expedia shows a very nice hotel, the reality is completely different! The hotel looks like a cheap chinatown hotel, the room was cold and several furniture damaged!

Staff was nice. Janitor was always nice and made very clean result. The location is not the best but the transportation to everywhere was convenient. Also, the location is in residential area, so it was more quiet than in the city centre. Unfortunately, there was weak soundproof in our room. We could hear everything from neighbour rooms, hallway and outside hotel. Also, bathroom is in need of renovation. However, shower and sink worked fine. All in all, we liked the stay and the location.

The staff/owners were very nice. This hotel had very steep stairs and it was very very hard to use them! No air ! And it was hot!!!!!! And the staff was unwilling to supply an extra fan even. I would not suggest using this hotel if you can not handle steep winding stairs and no air conditioning.

The property was awful, there was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector, mould in the bathroom and the bathroom stunk. I have never witnessed anything so bad in my life. I refused to stay in the property and i have been refused a refund. Totally unacceptable
