This hotel still feels new and clean and the staff are working hard. The room was quiet, with quality bed linen, a stylish tiny en suite shower room and both air-con and an opening window.
I stay in London most weeks on business and probably won’t stay here again however. While the photos online of the reception area, building facade and inside staircase accurately reflect reality the rooms do not. My room was essentially a tiny magnolia box, only one side of the double bed was accessible by a normal healthy adult. There is no wardrobe, table, storage or dressing table. Literally nowhere to hang my coat, which ended up on the floor. Not even a coat hook! The complimentary hot drink was limited to camomile tea or black coffee.
I care little for monogrammed bathroom mats if I cannot hang up my coat, store my clothes somewhere clean and have a cup of tea with milk.
