The property itself is beautiful and enjoyable to explore, with an excellent location just a short walk from the beach. The walk to the lighthouse is a bit longer but well worth it.
Our experience with the staff was a little confusing, particularly regarding breakfast. We received inconsistent information about where to get breakfast tickets, and at around $20 per adult and $15 per child, the offering seemed fairly minimal. We ended up eating off-property instead.
The Friday night barbecue and live music were definitely highlights and created a fun atmosphere. Our room was charming and fit the property's rustic character, though the beds were quite small and not especially comfortable. It felt more like a glamping experience than a traditional hotel stay.
The pool was great for our older child, but families with toddlers should know there isn't a shallow end, it's more of a lap pool.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but for the price, I expected a bit more in terms of comfort and amenities. While I wouldn't necessarily choose to stay here again, it was still a nice experience and the location is hard to beat.
