Had urgent medical appt for child. I stayed here before & loved it, so I knew the theme would be right up my sons ally. Front desk was amazing! Wasnt aware of no-cash policy, as prior, we paid card. After searching, I found in very small print online. There should be warning when making reservation. Unable to check in, we had to find a cash deposit ATM across Austin during 5:00 traffic. Since we dont live nearby, there wasnt a local bank for us to use. After returning an hour later, I requested to change # of nights. Front desk said no problem at all, but since booked online, I have to call hotels.com to change. There was a language barrier between rep. & I. I asked nicely to speak to someone else but he insisted on helping and was embarassed and struggling. He attempted to contact front desk, but they too, could not understand. After multiple back & forth with hotels.com, we finally got it taken care of. When we made it up to room, things got worse. Our last stay was clean, fresh & comfortable. This time refrigerator was warm, microwave not clean, 2 lamps missing light bulbs, hand towels full of stains and hairs stuck on them. One looked like stained blood so I put that on floor. Bathroom had hair on floor & drain. I didnt complain as we had alot going on medically, but was not satisfied with hotels.com and the hotel itself. Unsure if I'll use hotels.com or this hotel again. This is the best hotel Ive been to, so really disappointed. Once again, front desk was amazing!
