The check-in went smoothly, and we really got our hopes up for staying at Irie. But during the first night is where the problems started.
Irie stated that there would be security during the night when something was up. We didn’t expect we would be needing them, also since the hotel isn’t located in the ‘party’ area. We had to think again, the hotel itself seemed to be the party area. There is no supervision during the night whatsoever. Neighbors played loud music, people who weren’t staying in the hotel came over and left at 04:00 in the morning.
People using their private tub outside in the middle of the night, consuming alcohol and whatnot.
We stayed for 3 nights and we barely got any sleep during these nights.
Obviously we confronted the manager of the hotel, we’ve sent WhatsApp messages during the nights we were awake only to get a reply the following morning.
On the day of our check out, we were promised a reimbursement. But the condition of the reimbursement was that the neighbors paid a fine for making noise.
This simply is not a reimbursement. My reimbursement shouldn’t be based on whether a neighbor pays their fine or not. I’m very, very dissatisfied with the way the manager has handled things for us.
We won’t be staying at Irie again, and we wouldn’t recommend it.
