We stayed one night here en route to the Amalfi Coast. On arrival the reception area was messy and gave a poor first impression. There was plenty of parking and we were able to move our car to an area just outside our room which was handy for us. The room itself was very disappointing. The decor was dreadful and dated, poorly maintained and it really did need a renovation. The furniture was old and tatty and just dumped in there. There were no glasses, very small towels, very lumpy fibre filled pillows which were so uncomfortable to sleep on, the terrace light didn’t work, the loo flush was loose against the wall, the shower itself was powerful but the shower area was small. Against the window there was a broken tatty slatted Venetian blind that had holes in so people outside (especially after dark when we had the light on) could see straight in from the car parking area. Breakfast was not included but we could have it for €5 each. We thought we might like to have breakfast there but decided not to when we saw what was on offer. However, the views were fabulous and from our room we enjoyed the most amazing sunset going down over the distant sea, beyond the vineyard. The view from the restaurant was also very impressive. We always take in to account the cost of the room when we make our reviews, but to be honest, even though this was at the cheaper end, we still feel this hotel has got to raise it’s game. We often stay in fabulous places for the same price.
