This bed and breakfast is a true gem, set in a beautifully preserved 1836 mansion. The rooms feature herringbone wood floors, diamond-pane windows, and soaring 11-inch ceilings, creating an atmosphere that feels both magical and timeless. With its charming, historic details and exceptionally friendly owners, staying here is like stepping into an enchanting, old-world retreat.

Stay was like being in the Great Gatsby or a friendly end’s English country home. Enjoyed the complementary sherry, talking with the excellent hosts, the large room with fireplace plus sitting area, the veranda and the outstanding breakfast. All for a very reasonable price. Why stay anywhere else in Lenox?

Love this place! Loved the fact that owners kept the 1800s feel throughout. Owners were on-site and joined us for breakfast. Great people. Lenox is good base for road cycling the nearby hills and valleys.

My daughter and I stayed here overnight while attending a play at Shakespeare Company. It was perfect for our visit. Location was great - could walk to downtown Lenox. Rooms were beautiful and historic. Grounds lovely. And the hosts were charming. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the house at breakfast - which was delicious. Highly recommend

Love the older inns. The folks who greeted us - Richard & Lisa with the pup Holly - were lovely & helpful. Learned the backroad approach to Tanglewood & arrived at the Brandie Carlile concert in 7 minutes. Definitely staying here again!

I liked that it is an older style bed and breakfast place. You could say "classy" or "vintage". It reminded me of places where I would visit with family when I was a child.
I received a personal welcome and orientation to the property. Breakfast was nice and cooked options were available for me to choose. Another guest in the dining room at breakfast was also enjoying the visit and it was natural to strike up a conversation and get to know each other.
It was a more personal kind of stay than my typical hotel experience.
