Location is great. Right across the street from the beach. Price is great for location, but the basics are all pretty horrible. The parking is SUPER tight and there aren't nearly enough spots. If you go out to dinner be prepared to park 2-3 blocks away on streets that limit parking hours. If you drive anything bigger than a Prius you may be unable to use their lot depending on what's available. Normally I'd have no problem walking, but when it's schlepping baggage to a car that's 2 blocks away that's kind of annoying. There was exposed wiring hanging out of an outlet (phone wires - low voltage - no danger, but seriously?). No mirror over the sink in the bathroom, which makes shaving pretty laborious. The only mirror was sitting behind a dresser and one had to sit on a stool to be low enough to use it. The fan in the restroom was just for looks. Didn't function, and unless it was on the same switch as the light, it didn't work. The mattress had long since expired. There was a big depression in the middle that we felt we were falling into all night.
There's no AC and no heat, which shouldn't be needed since it's right by the beach, except that you can't open the windows or back door to the patio without people looking right in. We found a way to drape a curtain over the back door and leave it open since it was so blazing hot in our room at night, but ended up having to close it in the middle of the night because there was a ton of noise from the alley behind us.
