Chandra and her dogs are great hosts, but the room was in need of an upgrade. The lamps were almost about to snap in half, the radio was broken, the light in the bathroom flickered on/off and the TV is from a very old generation. The AC unit leaked the first night, and it wasn't until after my third night that hotel cleaning staff serviced my room. Leaving me with clean towels, but not replenishing my stock, it forced me to get creative for a hectic night.
The neighborhood is nice. Bus stop a minute away ($1USD/$2BBD), the gas station 15 minutes away, and the nearest AFFORDABLE restaurant was ten minutes down the road (with karaoke on saturday). The private beach is a nice getaway if you wanna spot some animal life (or witness a sea turtle give birth... not joking) but take the term private is very LOOSE and focus more on the term ACCESS. Moments with my SO were interrupted twice by locals walking by, but liked that it was less than a minute away.
If you're not an animal or mango person, then probably not the right choice for you. But if you don't mind kicking it old school and $3 wifi, then welcome to Paradise's Time Machine
