Great place in an amazing location. So close to everything! Spacious rooms with everything you will need. Super nice and helpful staff. I’m going to bring our own pillows and maybe even sheets next time just because we are used to ours (theirs are ok but not super soft) and could benefit from better sleep.

We rented a 1 bedroom apartment with a king bedroom and a living room/ full set kitchen dining table with a sofa bed. Very spacious 2 rooms. Enjoyed the pool table and the DVD rental as well. Parking was easy and convenient. Overall very happy with the stay.

Nice!!
Way better than expected. Especially for the price. We came up for 1 night to go to Octoberfest. Our room had a 2 rooms one was the bedroom the other a seperate kitchen and living room, 2 bathrooms and 2 fireplaces! Everything was out dated but it was kept in great condition and was very cozy. We would stay here again if we came up to go snowboarding.

No AC and cold showers (skipped), noisy at night. not the best location. Recommend finding a hotel at or next to "The Village", the heart of Big Bear. This is run by a property management company so no personal service. Look elsewhere. I would never stay there again. I remember the Holiday Inn looked like the best location at The Village, but its the Holiday inn, not sure I would book there either.

Fire alarm ruined stay
The Snow Lake Lodge was rated very highly, so I was hopeful it would be a good spot to stay for a family friendly budget overnight. Bit was quickly let down by the overall poor condition of the room. Lights that needed replacement, ceiling fans that didn't work, bathrooms that were old and cracking/leaking. Nothing we couldn't deal with for one night... until the fire alarm went off not once but twice at 3am and again at 4am. (False alarms both of them.) I could understand once, but when the second alaram woke my kids yet again, we packed up and found a quiet place to sit until the sun came up.

Snow Lake Lodge Is Superb!!
Our stay at Snow Lake Lodge exceeded our expectations, especially after camping for 2 nights at a nearby campsite. For our first time visiting the area, we were not sure what to expect. For our family of 6, we reserved 2 king rooms. They were spacious, clean, and exceptionally accommodating. The location though not within walking distance to the Village was still superb. We visited during a hotter than normal time of year so keep in mind there is no AC. However, we spent our days at the lake or riding the chairlift at the nearby ski resort. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

We like 2 bathrooms in the king suite unit. Love the full size kitchen. But there is no AC in the room and we visited the hottest weekend. It was very noisy with the windows open when sleeping. Ceiling fans did not help much. Without AC, we would not go back in the summer time.

Staff pushed the “we are strictly enforcing the social distancing guidelines”. Luckily most of the restaurants in town were not nearly as bad. It’s funny that they only let CA residents stay there. It’s like we couldn’t get COVID-19.
