This hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere. At night all we could hear was the insects in the djungel and faint traditional music coming from a temple somewhere out there in the darkness. It was as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and though there were a few other guests it felt like we had it all to our selfs. The hotel has a rustic charm and we loved it!
With that said there were a few problems as well... First and foremost the Wi-Fi was out of order, which was a huge annoyance to us! Also our fridge was out of order, which we could live with, all though some cold water would have been nice in the mornings. And the hotel restaurant was a bit sparse, they ran out of beer quite often, and we can't really recommend the western dishes on the menu, but several of the asian dishes were good, like the spring rolls, chicken soup, nasi goreng and the curry.
However, we did not think that the mentioned problems dampened the charms of the hotel to much. We can also recommend hireing a chauffeur to see the sights in the area. The hotel hooked us up with a really nice guy that drow us around all day, we went to The sacred springwater temple, Coffee plantation, Monkey forest, Rice terraces and to Thnah Lot temple, it was a great day and he only charged us 600 000IDR. Overall we had a great stay!
