I need 3 things in a hotel: Safe, Clean, and Comfortable. This hotel was lacking on clean, it wasn't super dirty, just not up to most people's standards. Luckily, I brought cleaning supplies. There wasn't any bad or lingering odor. The sheets were not great, but because another reviewer had knocked the bedding, I brought my own sheets and towels. The room was large, the mattress was comfortable and clean. The toilet area was small, sandwiched between the wall and the shower. The toilet wasn't seated properly so there was a bit of a "clunck" every time anyone sat down. The shower head wasn't screwed on well, so a stream of water hit the wall behind it. Baths aren't an option, as there was no plug. One issue: We had been in the room for quite a while, when I noticed a peanut shell next to the nightstand. Something I felt sure had not been there before. The next day, there was a peanut shell outside of our door when we returned from seeing Anna Ruby Falls (a definite must see). There was also a peanut shell on the floor by the sink. Again, I felt certain I would have noticed that before. It made me feel like someone had been in the room (the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door) but nothing was missing. Three nights was less than 1 night at most of the other options. We were there to see the falls and the town, not lay around in a room. The guy at the front desk was the best! Super friendly, and quick to help. With general upkeep and better cleaning, I would have rated it higher.
