Hotels.com is a problem not a solution
Hotels.com sold me a room that did not exist. And then I could not get any help from an English speaking person. I am closing my account.

In the dark it was a little confusing to find the inn. Check in was pleasant with an unexpected upgrade. The adobe home was nicely decorated for Christmas and the architecture was fascinating. The owner was a pleasant lady who gave excellent advice re museums and restaurants. Breakfast was satisfactory but unfortunately we had to leave early on the second day so missed seeing the second entry. Bad weather made the trip a little lining.

Yolanda is fantastic and a great host! The BnB is a bit out of the way down a rocky drive way but that adds some charm to the surroundings. The Inn is well kept and comfortable and the patio is quite nice to sit on and have a glass of wine. The breakfast was good every morning and there was a fruit and cheese buffet in addition to a nice entrée. The wifi is not good in the rooms so plan on staying disconnected for the most part. Loved staying and will return.

Best part of a great trip
My wife and I made sure to go north from Santa Fe to Taos. Yolanda was great and the ranch was beautiful. Got lots of great pictures of the sunset. The best part of the B&B experience was hearing Yolanda's stories. We loved the breakfast!

Not Going Back
Wow. First of all, if I had to rate the innkeeper herself, I would give her a 10. She is a lovely, delightful woman. However, we are baffled by the absolute disconnect between the previous reviews of the Inn and our actual experience of staying there. Our room was completely outdated, dirty, and in disrepair - numerous burned out light bulbs, cracked tiles, torn and stained carpeting, dead flies on the bedroom floor, a dead cockroach in the bathroom, and someone elses hair in the bathtub. We were so grossed out that we slept on top of the bedding. Based on the previous reviews, I dont know if this was just some sort of weird anomaly or what. In any case, we will not be returning.

October Stay
Yolanda is a fabulous hostess. Her breakfasts are tasty and inspired and she arranges the eating area so guests can effortlessly socialize. The inn is large and sprawling in a quiet area near town. Large, comfortable, quiet and cozy rooms. We love it. Plus Yolanda knows Taos and can give advice on any recreation, shopping or cultural opportunity in the area.

6/10 Good

Out in the Fields
The property is in the middle of nowhere; the room was large and clean, inside, with a window only, no balcony; the bathroom fixtures need upgrading. I think it was overpriced, a basic accommodation for a price of an upscale hotel, definitely not justified.

Wonderful stay at Taos Country Inn
My husband and I recently celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Taos Country Inn. It was fabulous! We loved the peace and quiet, the lovely grounds, the beautiful rooms, and...Yolanda. Although it is far away from noise and stress, it remains only about 5 minutes driving time or less away from the main plaza in Taos. The rooms are as beautiful as they are depicted on the website. The flowers and trees on the site are appealing and lovingly maintained. We will be back.

Paradise in the Upper Desert!
We absolutely loved our stay. The suite was spotless, roomy, and beautifully appointed. Our owner/hostess, Yolanda, is simply a delight. She gave us warm hugs every morning with a gourmet breakfast and wonderful coffee. An added treat was the delicious water from her private well. The setting is stunning, and we enjoyed our morning walks to the Taos Plaza every day. And our evening wine on the patio replenished our souls. We can't wait for our next stay with Yolanda!

Wonderful edge-of-town location
You get the best of a country stay (wildlife around the inn and very quiet) with a location only a few minutes by car from central Taos and the Bent street shops (a plus is that Taos has free parking downtown unlike Santa Fe). Plus, Yolanda (the owner) is one of the friendliest people I know. It's like staying with a friend in her home--seriously. I may be somewhat biased because Yolanda reminds me of my wife in her friendliness, attention to detail, and her kindness to her guests ;-). I really enjoyed my stay and the best-of-both-worlds aspect (city and country) and will definitely stay with her again next time I'm in Taos. There's coffee, tea, fruit, and cereal first thing in the morning, but she'll cook you breakfast between 8 and 9 if you want. I always had the fruit because I'm not a big breakfast eater, but one morning she made huge pancakes for the other guests, and they looked wonderful!

Great escape
A prefect time and location, close to the heart of Taos but on a quiet country road. Owner knows the area well and gave good recommendations for dinner and museums. Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone planning to visit this area.

Quiet, comfortable and inviting
Just far enough out of the downtown area to be quite and peaceful. Cute, clean rooms with comfortable beds. The owner, Yolanda, is one of a kind. Friendly, sweet, and caring. She also puts on an amazing breakfast! We will definitely be back!!

Friendly B & B
Nice place with a very friendly owner. This bed & breakfast is just off the beaten path. While it is not walking distance to Taos' main attractions, it is only a short drive away. The owner, Yolanda, was very friendly and cooked a great breakfast!
