10/10 Exceptional

basic standard, centrally located
My room in this centrally located hotel was clean and the check-in was easily done. I regularly travel to London and I've previously stayed in this hotel before. I recommend this to solo short term travellers who just need a basic accommodation within the city's centre. For just a night I don't need any luxury, shared bathroom is ok and clean towels are always provided.

It was okay .. not so clean

GRIM! Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Ever. Communal shower/toilet and absolutely filthy everywhere. Cheap agreeably if you want to rest your head but bring disinfectant!

Beautiful entrance, deceiving interior
The shower drain had no protection, several rats can come out of there the noise from the bathroom exhaust fan sounded like a tractor I paid for a room with a double bed and the receptionist said that they only had one with two single beds, so she said that I could check out at 12pm. the two mattresses looked like a rusty trampoline

2/10 Poor

I was shocked when I opened the door. It was a total disaster. The room has just vacated by the look of it as linens and towels on the floor and no wifi in the annexe where I was transferred.

6/10 Good

TV not working sceen faded to black. Radiator blasting out heat all night, did not sleep well. Bed was firm and clean. Power sockets were no where near desk so pretty useless. Wall lights were not working and floor boards were uneven.

Great location
Great check in at a super location! Bed was clean and room spacious. The hotel has so much potential for an upgrade as is very dated and Un maintained in part.
Julian, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Overnight stay as was going to the theatre
A cheap hotel is affordable for where the location is, but the room explains the hotel's price was ok for an overnight stay 6/10. If your budget is low, then this is perfect. It is a 10 min walk to Leicester Square, plenty of pubs and restaurants,

10/10 Exceptional

simple and recommendable for a short city trip
I've already been to this hotel and again, everything was fine. The room, linen and towels were clean and everything worked well. It's not a luxury hotel but perfect for those who just need a simple accommodation in the centre of London. The simple furniture is perfect for solo travellers who don't have a lot of luggage and for just one or a few nights having a private bathroom is not really important. Most of all, I like the location. It's within walking distances from Bloomsbury campus of University of London, next to British Museum, 5 min walk away from next Sainsbury, Tottenham Court Rd, 10 min walking distance from Russell Square or Holborn, 15 min walking to Euston Station.

8/10 Very good

the staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed my stay. Great location. Good basic accommodation.

2/10 Poor

Awful. Cheap but not worth it
Dirty, small and lacking in comfort. Really the worst hotel room I've ever had. Dust and dirt everywhere (including huge fingernails, bits of plasticn packaging on the floor) Do not recommend, would not use again

perfect for a short stay in the centre of London
As an international student I often commute to London for further education reasons, so Bloomsbury is the ideal location for a short stay. For solo travellers like me, who just need a basic accommodation without any extras, this hotel serves the purpose of my needs and I don't hesitate to book it again. I liked the house and its retro style of the furniture. Everything worked well, lavatory in the room and public telephone in the corridor. Linen and towels were clean. For a low budget this hotel offers everything you need for a short stay.

This small hotel is just perfect. In the middle of everything, very central and convenient, nice and kind staff, they take care of everything you need. It's was really good my staying in this wonderful place.

Thought we would try somewhere different but to be honest this place needs closing DOWN absolutely disgusting bedding was clean but the room was dirty, could not Waite to get out.

Decent little place to stay near the museum. If you don't need frills, it worked out good.

It was in need of updating our room was tatty and dirty. The bathroom was awful.
PETER, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Reception couldn't be bothered. Staircase hasn't been swept for days. Carpets threadbare, paintwork dirty, television didn't work. Asked to move to room which had working TV, receptionist couldn't be bothered. No tea making facilities, furniture old and broken. Avoid this dump.
David, 1-night trip

Slum hotel room
This hotel was a slum. There is extensive mold in the bathroom. There must be mold in the room as well as I having significant breathing problems. The curtains were ripped and in taters. One of the doors on the cabinet was missing, there was no cover on bed either. The room was dirty and not properly cleaned. Never stay here.
Sarah, 1-night trip

Our original room didn't have working wi-fi. Hotel staff upgraded our room to bigger one with working wi-fi on their initiave. Great problem solving from friendly staff!

Work stay
The staff at the hotel are amazing, really kind and helpful. The hotel itself is absolutely awful. They could probably get away with charging £40/50 a night due to location but anything more than that I would avoid. The rooms are filthy with now facilities and clearly, due to the thick dust and multiple hanging cobwebs are never thoroughly cleaned. The bed itself was terrible, it was like sleeping on a boat, the mattress should be chucked away, it was awful, they don’t even use mattress protectors. Avoid!
