Nice hotel with nice staff, comfortable rooms in a convenient location, but the ongoing construction ruins everything, especially if you want to sleep in.
It is great to have signage at the entrance and across the hotel, but I would not come to this place if I knew that the renovation is ongoing.
A couple of grievances:
- I could hear construction notices—not loud but annoying enough to wake up—in the room right above me on the fourth floor, which itself is closed for guests, at around 8-8:30am, even though posters say that work starts at 9am
- Cleaning ladies and workers were interacting loudly right next to our door
- There was no water starting from 9:30am — I was notified on check-in, when I already paid for the room online and it was non-refundable.
- Elevators busy with construction workers during the day
Is it really essential to do the construction work so early in the morning? Why not do major and loud work after the regular check-out hours and before check-in?
