Trendy spot, I recommend.
Took my son for his 25th Birthday. Location was perfect with subway a block away and shopping right around the hotel. Had an excellent view of the Empire State Building. Lounge was cozy and a popular spot for even people not staying at the hotel. The soap in the bathroom smelled fantastic. Tip, the the water run in the shower to warm up.

SLICK
The Ace Hotel and staff made our stay so memorable. Such a cool spot with easy access to everything you need and would want to see in New York. The bar was slick and the bartender was excellent. Two days I was lucky enough to have space in the gym for yoga. Morning coffees and pastries were delicious and the daily cleaning service always made the room so inviting at the end of a long sightseeing day. I would recommend the Ace Hotel to all. I enjoyed my stay, and the front desk, particularly the Italian (I think) gentleman was extremely helpful. Funky, hip place for sure. Lobby was really dark, but again, hip. Bed felt a bit small, and made noise when I moved, but overall comfortable.
