The best feature of this hotel is the very friendly service. I would love to revisit this hotel.
The hotel has a good location close to cafes, restaurants and shops. A grocery store is a 5 minute walk away.
Great breakfast with a good selection of food and drinks. Everything is fresh. You can order lovely crepes/pancakes, and scrambled eggs, omelette etc.
We stayed in a canal view deluxe double room on the top floor. It was clean. The view to the canal was beautiful.
The room was OK in size (app 20 sq.meters), but no more than that. The bed and linen were top notch. There was a fresh and modern bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and double sinks. Not much water pressure in the shower though, but fair enough for what is basically a 17th century building.
The hotel has a cosy bar, and a lot of art/paintings are on display in the hotel lobby if you are interested in that sort of thing.
One small negative issue: please note that if you stay here during the summer on very hot days, you can’t expect the room to be cool even though it has air conditioning.
On our day of arrival Amsterdam had +30 degrees. The hotel provided an additional air conditioning unit in our room, and a fan. Well done by the staff. They were very helpful.
Still, the room temperature was around 26-27 degrees on the first evening, which is too much for me because I am used to a colder climate. Fortunately, the outside temperature dropped and the room cooled off during the night and it was fine.
