The food was good as was the room. Situation close to town and beach also good. Parking was limited and on a first come first serve basis. Management issues dogged our stay. One day the room wasn't serviced and at other times only late afternoon. We had to go to reception to collect supplies on 2 days.
One day we had to go to the Ibis next door for a meal. We were told 55 mins before we were due to eat..so no time to book elsewhere. So,we had to make do with fast food whilst a party ( who we were told had booked 2 months previously, some 5 months after us) took over the fine food dining. Plenty of time then to have sorted things out. The Ibis also took 1 hour to deliver food and then starter and main at the same time - we were told after they had delivered it that they didn't have the facility to do otherwise? So not a good evening.
One night at the Mercure my partner found a small piece of plastic on his plate. The waiter apologised...but the Manager didn't bother. It was only when we insisted on talking to him on the evening that we were being moved to the Ibis, that it emerged he had contacted the suppliers.
If, they could get the staffing levels right, plan for large parties in advance, and have Management directing rather than firefighting this would be a really good choice.
