The apartment is mis-represented in Expedia by both Expedia and the property management company , GPS Rentas Vacacionales (GPS). The apartment description says it has an ocean view. The apartment is on the street and faces the marina, not the ocean.
The apartment is not well-maintained.
The apartment lacks some basic amenities commonly found in a hotel room in the U.S. despite advertising that indicates the amenities are available.
The GPS representative was initially rude and hostile. He later apologized.
GPS could not be easily reached when an urgent maintenance matter arose at 1130 in the morning.
The GPS representative mis-represented himself when using the Expedia message application to resolve the urgent maintenance matter and to discuss concerns noted.
By far the most significant negative experience was discovering sand on the sheets towards the foot of the bed.
The shower drain was clogged, so the water did not drain. When the plumber came, he removed a clump of hair and other debris. It appeared that the drain had not been cleared in some time.
Bedroom, hallway and kitchen closets had debris or various articles. The hairdryer was missing so we purchased a replacement and were reimbursed.
Blackout shades in bedroom were damaged. Balcony door did not close completely.
Washing machine was dirty; blender was dirty
TV remotes did not work; no TV channels available so the TV was not usable.
