Beware the 3rd floor single rooms!
This hotel is in an old Dutch home with four levels and a very steep and narrow stairwell, and no elevator. My tiny single room was on the top floor, was L-shaped and barely fit me and my suitcase. It had a skylight window that clearly had a leak as there was mold all around the window and the room reeked of mold and bleach from the bathroom. This room might be fine for a young budget traveler with a light suitcase or backpack, but was not good for me. I will say the staff was kind and helpful.

Birthday get away
Lovely place to stay for an easy going couple of days. The location is wonderful as it's tucked away from the masses but Vondel Garden is a quick walk away if you wanted to spend some time in nature and close enough to the excitement not to feel left out. Rooms are a little on the smaller side, and as a result get very warm but make up for this with the size of the wetrooms and windows. Close to local amenities which is perfect if you're in the mood for a late night treat.

Tiny room with very unreliable water
Tiny top floor single room. Mosquitos in the room -- in October! Uncomfortable bed. But the worst thing was the water. In the late afternoon, the shower just barely dribbled down the wall for 20 minutes before the water pressure returned and the shower was then fine. Late on the evening the tap on the sink had nothing. No hot water, no cold water. Just some weird gurgling. 10 minutes later the water worked fine.

Absolutely no running water in our room, unable to shower or use the sink. Was offered to quickly use another room to shower in after guests had just checked out… so had to walk into a dirty hotel room, dirty bathroom, wet bathroom floor… and still their running water didn’t work properly

Amazing hotel
The staff was very nice and welcoming! The room and bathroom was very clean. The mattress was extremely soft and comfortable!! Very close to everything. Overall super worth it. Very convenient too because it’s next to the bus top that brings you to the airport!!!

Family trip in summer
Room was okay for 4 adult stay. Bathroom was decent size. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Watch outs: No A/C. Stairs are very steep. Try to get a room on first floor. Ours was on 2nd floor and you have to be careful going up and down. This is an old building so not a lot of room for stairs. Also, the shower is a bit slow.

Great place to lay your head for a nice traveling stay in Amsterdam! It’s a small room but had two cozy beds and functional bathroom. Highly recommend this place if your main goal is NOT to be in the room much as it is quite small. We were hardly there and just used it to sleep. Close to public transportation and plenty of restaurants and shops.

Staff were all accommodating and nice but the hotel is in shambles. The water stops working in the mornings because their plumbing can’t handle more than two people using it at once. Also there’s no elevator and the stairs are really steep. There are a couple other things but those are the big two.

More than just the price.
Our stay was short but exciting. If you are looking for fantastic views this isn't the place. However the hotel is clean tidy and has really helpful staff. It's located very close to all the main districts in Amsterdam with literally 10 easy walking minutes to them all. We were allowed to leave our bag's early from an early flight before check in and could pay extra for early room check in( not required). Easy walk to tram stop. Will advice anyone to purchase the 24hours tram tickets as valid much more than 90min bus. The hotel rooms are not large but totally adequate for shorter stays, we had hot showers but could have done with airvent extraction!! Good access to small outside space. Hotel has dated decor in the reception and corridor areas but sparce in the bedroom. I would definitely recommend this for short stays especially if you aren't going to be using it for more than just functional purposes. It was cheap but delivered more than just the price.
