The information on Hotels.com that all suites have a river view is incorrect. Our allocation was a view of the car park and a building opposite. The ‘accessible’ room provided had a wet room with excellent view of the toilet from the bed. Possibly provided because of a company event taking over. The smaller room that we were reallocated had excellent views across the river and was very comfortable. When a new river view suite was available, that was excellent, spacious and worth moving again for. The restaurant was expensive and the food was average, although the service was excellent, I cannot recommend it. My biggest criticism is the ridiculous deposit/freeze of £600 on my credit card, for a stay of two nights, way more than anywhere else on our trip across Europe! The location was great, the hotel a little worn but excellent, the service good and I would stay again.
