This was an emergency stay, and it was sufficient for my needs at the time. There is off-street parking. I felt safe here. It is walking distance from groceries, pubs and restaurants, a bus stop. It was surprisingly quiet, although one can hear things from the neighboring rooms. The noise level was not distracting or intrusive. The room I stayed in was quite small, but sufficient. It could use a facelift, though. A nice bright set of curtains would do wonders. The bedding was fresh and of decent quality. The bed was comfortable, but squeaky. The main problem for me was with the water. The manager told me ahead of time that it would be off for maintenance, which I appreciated. But then it went off again the following morning, as well. When it came back on, I had no hot water. I phoned the manager, and he was very concerned and immediately called a plumber to fix it. All good...until the next morning when the hot water was off again. This is probably something they will deal with, as the manager was responsive when notified about the problem. It made my particular stay awkward and a little uncomfortable. I cannot comment on the shared kitchen facilities, as I did not use them.
