The room was clean and well-appointed. There was a desk; chair; closet/cabinet; kettle with cups, coffee and tea, and toiletries (including a shaving kit).
The WiFi worked consistently well.
The hotel is removed from the road and the window faced into a sort of courtyard, so traffic noise wasn't an issue. The hotel itself was quiet.
The AC and ceiling fan both worked great.
The room wasn't huge, but it wasn't cramped and everything was arranged intelligently.
The staff were friendly and very responsive to issues and requests. They often offer free tea/coffee; if you decline (I avoid caffeine in the evening), they give you water.
The breakfast is good with many options to choose from.
The small lobby is air conditioned. I mention that as more of a curiosity than as an advantage for guests (although it is a relief when coming out of the Goa heat); it is one of only two hotel lobbies I encountered in my month in India that was air conditioned. Unlike the other hotel, though, Bela Goa's lobby was genuinely cool.
