I was pleasantly surprised by the well-done recent renovations at Cresta Churchill. We booked suites which were a great value and included a separate (no door) sitting area with a couch, second tv, desk and mini fridge. Rooms were very comfortable and had ample plugs with built in converters and usb outlets. Wifi was sufficient. Bathrooms were well appointed. My colleague's fridge smelled like it was overheating which was a bit of a concern but we just unplugged it. Could also hear a bit of noise from the plumbing from other rooms but nothing major. Our suites were on the third floor with no lift, which may present problems for some. Check-in wasn't very smooth--they did not have our reservations (from hotels.com) and we had to present the printouts, but they were not near full and let us checkin very early (9am after arriving on an international flight) which was very welcomed. The cold breakfast buffet wasn't great, but Zim is having a tough time on imports at present so it wasn't too unexpected, and the hot options for breakfast were good. Dinner was fine but not the best quality meat and quite expensive for what you got (if you paid in USD). Hotel is a bit removed from town but we didn't mind and it was a quiet area. Overall a good stay and option for Bulawayo, despite some minor issues.
