Unfriendly, hidden fees, filthy pool
The front desk staff was very unfriendly. Never smiled. They were rude to my adult sons. The front desk were irritated that I booked through hotels.com. they told me to call hotels.com and cancel then rebook if I did not like the conditions. The hotel charges me much more than what hotels.com said I would be required to pay at check-in. Also the website never mentioned $00 per day per car for parking. Never mentioned a $00 resort fee per room per day. So many additional changes. No onsite parking available. I had to use the valet who parked off-site. On a Saturday night I waited 35 minutes for the valet to retrieve my car. When we returned it took another 20 minutes to get through the valet line to have the car parked again. The swimming pool had a scum ring all along the waterline and on the in pool chairs. The glass wall between the pool deck and the beach was filthy. The front desk personal never ,I mean never smiled. I have stayed at some of the best resorts in the world and some small highway motels. I almost always am welcomed with smile. Not here. The staff made me feel bad because I booked through I quote, "an Expedia group website" . The staff does not like that I booked at discount. Anyway , they steal any discount you may have gotten with surprise destination fees , parking fees, resort fees and I never received a final bill at checkout. It has been 2 days since I checked out and they are still holding my $000 per day, per room incidentals deposit.
