Ignore the location
Do not let the position of this hotel influence your decision. It might be near the motorway but the ambience and style of the house was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and friendly with an excellent breakfast offered.

Northern roadtrip
Fairly easy to find and check in quick. Room smallish but ok and nice bathroom. No evening meal service on site but pubs not far away. Close to park and ride so easy to get into the city. Overall good value for money

Fantastic!
Such a pleasant stay at the Rectory Farm! I didnt know what to expect but the rooms were specious, very clean, pretty surroundings, it was warm in the room. I would definitely book again. Its not too far from the city centre which makes it convenient.

Rectory Farm
We arrived late, the key for my room was left as instructed. Room was clean the bed was comfy. The only negatives are the room layout meant that when the door was open it felt like you were stepping straight into the bed and the soundproofing between rooms could be better.
Paul, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The bed wasn’t very good, the mattress was too thin. The room was nice and warm, got a bit too hot but you can open the window. There are no staff around before 4pm

Nice place but watch out for the parking surcharge
Well priced accommodation and pleasant stay. Just disappointing that after choosing this hotel for its price and quiet location, we then got charged £5 for parking to stay at a fairly rural location is called ‘Rectory Farm’ & all around are fields, not usually somewhere you’d expect to have to pay a surcharge for?

Nice place
Nice king size bed and big shower for 2 people. Bed comfortable and house and grounds beautiful. Only issue can hear next rooms plugging into sockets and doors closing which woke us up.

Great location
Our stay was very confortable with a suitable price.

Lovely manor house with great comforts.
A lovely relatively quiet old manor house, just off the M11. Rooms well insulated for heat, 2 windows didn’t close easily in my room, but other guests seemed to slam them shut. Bed was huge and very comfortable; the bathroom was clean and the domestic staff maintained the room daily. I did drive past a couple of times as i thought the main iron gates were a service entrance, but not. Its a sharp turn into the 'drive' and pull up to the gates which will open automatically. The Receptionist was very helpful too. I didn’t have the breakfasts as too pricey for my budget.

Big country house, if don't want to be in centre
We stayed in the main house. Lovely setting, feels very grand. Only stayed one night but had a great stay. Everything was clean. Bed super comfy. Shower massive. We paid for the breakfast which was good and brought to the table. Service was polite and attentive throughout. App wasn't great, but reception sorted a key card straight away no fuss. M11 is a gentle drone in the background.if open the windows. Can walk to the park and ride in 5 mins to get a bus in. Uber was £14 back from centre. Cheaper and nicer than staying in the centre. Loads of parking. Had a nice walk in the morning out around. Gardens and in to the next village. Would wholly recommend.

Convenient for Cambridge; no frills but clean and everything we needed. Would have said good value for money but very disappointing that a charge for car parking has been introduced.

Traditional British Cottage Feel
We reserved one of the smaller rooms and it was adequate for our stay. Traditional British cottage feel. It’s a bit outside of Cambridge so getting to places to eat etc, you had to walk 20-25 mins to the few nearby restaurants or taxi around. The setting however is beautiful.

Cambridge Visit.
After reading some negative reviews, I can only say my experience was excellent. We stayed in the chalets which were all beautifully furnished & spotless.Very near to park & ride & a super Garden Centre 2mins away. Excellent location would certainly go again.

Funeral
Upgraded to the main house and after seeing the rooms in the annex I was disappointed with my upgrade. The rooms in the annex were nicer and had nicer beds.they were also slightly bigger. So not sure what I had for my upgrade??

Lovely room. Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. I requested a bath for my room and this was provided. My room was very quiet, bed very comfortable and clean. Will definitely use this accommodation again when visiting Cambridge
