'Tired', sum up the Oxfordshire Golf club and Spa property. Not solely due to the facilities, general feel of the area inside, but mire so 'tired' in the ambition, the vision, the strategy. Tired minds run this property, and it pays zero homage to the Japan/British heritage wgich the property boasts. Spa staff we spectacular, but every thing else is merely a physical representation of tired minds. Oh one more thing, Sakura! I tjink its grossly misleading to name this restaurant Sakura. Sakura as a name holds a rich history, originating with the blossoming of Cherry Trees, in Japanese culture, the term came to represent quality, importance, noteworthy. The Oxfordshire Sakura is an absolute joke, to say it plainly. Nothing to demonstrate the japaneses hetitage, poor service, poor room location, poor quality food. Enough said!
I believe in constructive criticism so im going to suggest something to put the Oxfordshire Golf Club and Spa Hotel in a better light:
1. Embrace the 1992 history and vision of the property.
2. Put on a shuttle bus to Thame 3 times a week at a fee.
3. Invest in customer service training for general staff (Spa people were great)
4. Invite Hideki Matsuyama and his family complimentary, get some press, target Japanese travel market.
5. Create a golf experience within the building, videos, historical items, areas of historical note within the building, golf ball sculpture.
6. Move Sakura to abother room overlooking the golf course, change name.
