Staying over in Maastricht for a day, we were looking for a hotel outside of the city. Even though this hotel is a bit further away from where we would normally stay, I can't recommend it more highly. This place is fantastic. Located in a renovated old windmill in a very quiet, countryside environment next to some industrial area, they have done a fabulous job of turning the site into a great hotel with a modern vibe to it. There's sufficient parking available but you might need a GPS to locate the place as it's not on a main road.
Front desk staff was super friendly. I called them due to our late check-in and they went out of their way to offer a solution that worked out very well.
The rooms are very modern and spacious and have a very unique layout. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room very clean.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant that is linked to the hotel, with an open kitchen. Staff asked us if we wanted some freshly scrambled or baked eggs and they made it on the spot. At Eur 15 per person I did consider breakfast a bit expensive for what they offer, but unless you're willing to drive out it offers some good choices.
While the hotel rates were really good value, be prepared to be charged Eur 5 per person tourist tax as set by council.
Really glad to have found this hotel for our next visit when I hope to try the restaurant for dinner (it was still closed). Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
