The apartment was lovely however the management were not accommodating at all.
I emailed to arrange a late check in due to a delayed flight more than a week earlier and did not receive a response until I called the reception three days prior, who were then helpful to accommodate us and arrange for this, as well as a late check out seeing as we would only be arriving at 11pm.
On the day of arrival, the night staff were very helpful and assisted us to check in at 11pm, after we drove an hour and a half from Cape Town. They took their time to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable.
The next morning at breakfast, we waited 45 minutes to be served and when I went to reception to confirm a late check out as arranged prior to arrival, I was rudely told that this was not possible as the room needed to be prepared for the next guests, even though the necessary arrangements had been made.
We then returned to the room to find the power out, and no electricity present in the prepaid meter, so I called the reception to alert them as we needed to check out in 30 minutes but the issue was rectified 25 minutes later when I walked to reception to query why nobody had attended to the issue.
Only then were we given an extra 30 minutes to round up our stuff and check out in time.
The apartment was lovely, but the service from the day staff at reception and the management was appalling and very disappointing, which ruined the experience for us in Hermanus unfortunately.
