We had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. We booked a night away as we have recently got married, and my husband is recovering from a serious illness. We just needed some "downtime" as we also have a daughter with disabilities, and this was the perfect spot. We have actually booked the superior room for a night next month,as I have felt so refreshed today. The continental breakfast was lovely. My husband is more of a cooked breakfast fan,but I was delighted to find several gluten free options, including bread, porridge and cereal, and also dairy alternatives. I think this is the first place we have stayed that has actually provided gluten and lactose free options. The only drawback was a bit of noise from another guest's 2 large dogs through the night. I love that the Briers is pet friendly, and have recommended it to both my son and daughter who are always looking for pet friendly places to stay. The noise didn't bother me as we have dogs ourselves, but my husband is a bit noise sensitive due to illness. Not a fault of the Briers at all, just very excited dogs on holiday. We are looking forward to going back often. We had beautiful views of the stunning Mourne mountains from our room as an added bonus.
