My stay started off badly because the guest house's driver was not at the airport to pick me up. He was a witness to an accident en route to the airport so he did not show up. After much haggling at the airport, an unknown driver called the phone number I had of the guest house. They told this driver to drive me to their guest house. I felt a bit afraid, not knowing if I could trust this person and not knowing where I was going in the dark.
I was so jet lagged and just wanted to get to my room, shower, have dinner, unpack and go to sleep. Unfortunately, my room wasn't booked, according to them. I had booked a standard room through Expedia and they had no record of it. So there were no more standard rooms left. The good thing is, they put me in a Deluxe room for the same price. It made me feel a lot better, except for the constant barking of a dog down below throughout the night.
