I made a booking for a week in September at the Blue Lagoon in an executive room with two queen beds, kitchenette and ocean view. On arriving I was assigned to a musty smelling room by the pool with definitely no ocean view. I expressed my surprise to the receptionist on duty who said that I had booked that room. On revising my booking, once I could get on the internet, it was clear that I had been assigned to an inferior category room without justification. I communicated my discontent to the same receptionist who agreed to find another room without additional charge. Finally, I was assigned to a room overlooking the ocean with a king bed and no kitchenette, however, the room was of a good standard.
Internet was present but very slow and with frequent dropouts.
The food in the restaurant on an evening was good quality except fro the Thai sweet and sour which was well below standard.
Lunchtime loft salad was very good.
Breakfast was poor. Continental, included with the room, was tea or coffee OR a glass of ice topped up with carton juice, two croissants and one slice of toast with butter and jam.
Staff were very courteous although one or two in the restaurant came with attitude and inventive invoicing.
In conclusion, on the whole acceptable but probably not for a return visit.
