We're always skittish about B&Bs because it's up close and personal, and we've been stung before. In this case, we weren't happy with hotel choices, and the reviews were positive.
We had a wonderful stay. The host was actually out of town, but she had a wonderful replacement - Taylor. Taylor welcomed us, and did a great job explaining where everything was and how it all worked. Much appreciated.
In the morning, Taylor cooked us a wonderful breakfast. Because we were the last two to eat (we had 3 choices of times), we had a great visit with Taylor, who was engaging and interesting, but not obtrusive.
Our only slight disappointment is that walking to a restaurant was a little far, given the hills. Not a big deal.
Auberge Kicking Horse B&B is certainly on our keeper's list.
Bonuses: Every room has its own ensuite - which recently is a must with us, and there was a fridge and freezer available to keep our food cold and refreeze our ice packs.
