School trip.
This was the perfect spot for ease of movement around the Grand Canyon South Rim. The lodge was pleasant, close to market. Was a school group stay.
Highly recommend.

Would stay again!
Very friendly staff (though we didn’t need anything after check in) and wonderful location with quick access to everything we needed - food and rim views! Would stay there again. The room was very clean and beds were comfy.

This lodge was inside the park and just a short drive from the South Rim. Very adequate lodging if you're looking to stay inside the park and experience everything nearby!

Perfect
Pleasantly surprised by the room. Little bit smaller than a standard hotel room. Clean comfortable beds and pillows. Large window looking out into the forest. Nice size closet area for food/clothes storage. The bathroom heater was divine after cold snowy hikes. Our room was conveniently located right next to the EV chargers, shuttle stop and the Yavapai diner/tavern and general store.

Good service, dated facilities
Staff and service was very good and helpful. Heater was not working great due to snow and cold so they offered us a different room and brought blankets and space heater in a snowstorm. Overall the rooms are dated, a little small, and not especially clean. Needs a refresh. Loved the lodge and restaurant.

Good one night stay
We arrived in the dark, finding the room was not an easy task as the numbers on the doors were not visible. Rooms were spacious enough and had everything we needed for one night. There was some dog food on the floor of our room close to the entry and the window in the bathroom had mold growing in the inside. But other than that the stay was fine. We didn’t need much since we only were there to basically sleep and eat a quick breakfast in our room that we brought.

Most Beautiful Greatest Lodge in the Grand Canyon
Spectacular multi-building lodge nuzzled in the forest of the Grand Canyon. Only a few minute walk from the Grand Canyon. The Cafe is wonderful with a great Chuck Wagon dinner. Front Desk Staff, Cafe Staff, Grounds Keepers and Cleaning Help at the lodge were all very friendly and professional. It was very nice after a long walk all day, to come back so close and easily to our rooms. We loved the little market across the street and the easy access to the local free shuttle bus transport around town. We particularly loved the Rocky Mountain Elk outside our room. What a treat to see while laying in bed.

Yavapai Lodge, Grand Canyon
The rooms might have been adequate about 50 years ago but they are primitive and "tired" as well as very small and uncomfortable.
