This hostel is situated right on the Manzoni metro station, 10 minutes walking distance from the Colosseum and at a very busy intersection. The building hosts other lodges/hostels and it is confusing to know where to ring the bell at arrival. The entrance door to the building looks shabby and has a broken panel. Entrance hall smells and is dark and ominous, the building lift must have been initially used by Jesus and His disciples by the look of it. Fortunately, once you find the hostel door things get a bit better. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and richly decorated, although furniture is very old and dated. It has access to a small shared terrace overviewing the intersection. The windows have single glazing, so nights are extremely noisy, with the noise of traffic, ambulances and people accompanying your sleep non-stop. The room gets cleaned daily. However, it seemed a simple tidy-up... crumbs from our first-day breakfast were still there on the last morning 4 days later. There are no common facilities, so breakfast is brought to the room, which has no table or chairs to eat on, so we had to use the tiny lamp table and sit on one of the beds (hence crumbs going everywhere which didn't get vacuumed). Bathroom has a shower, it is in good condition and hot water works well.
