Comfy stay in Providence

The stay was very nice. The staff was friendly. It's in a nice area of town. My only complaint is that the name of the hotel in not on the front of the hotel making it difficult to find.

Front desk and service staff are amazing here. 100 out of 10. Recommend to everyone.

Tiny rooms in a cute hotel!

Cute hotel and SMALL but well designed rooms. For some reason the cute coffee bar was never open during our three night stay! Definitely not a room you would “hang out in” as the only seating was the bed and one small desk chair.

Fine for what you pay.

Inexpensive, not a bad location and definitely more hipster than the local Marriot. But now looking shopworn and the staff are consistently diffident.

Hip Old School Boutique Hotel

I've stayed at this hotel at this hotel about a dozen times and always enjoy this quirky hotel.

Classic hotel, great service but bizarre tiny room

The Neptune (formerly Dean) Hotel is a classic old hotel in the heart of downtown Providence. The staff and service were great. Our room ws not only tiny, but there was more space available in the room to set up a chair (or couch) to watch someone in the shower through the window to the room than there was space to walk around the bed. Despite good service, this lack of space to move near the bed, due to a really strange room configuration of room 408 made our stay just OK.

Providence Cool - especially when it's fully up an

This was a late booking (a week before) and wanted to be central. It was in the middle of a rebrand so was a little tricky to find as outside it says The Dean. Parking was in an adjacent city lot ($40 with hotel). Hotel is small with a cool vibe. The check in guy was helpful and helped us navigate the old fashioned lift. There is a lobby area with a coffee shop but this was only open for a couple of hours in the morning and just serves coffee. The bar was being refurbished and looked very cool. The place has a history and you definitely get a vibe! The room was a very pleasant surprise - modern, clean design with thought to the style. Great bathroom and shower. All in all an interesting discovery if you want to be downtown.

The Dean Hotel is one of the few that will still offer to clean and straighten up you room daily. I did not necessarily need that, but I am thankful that it was offered. And, it was a pleasantly different place to stay.

Very cool historical building. Little tight to navigate but overall good stay.

Fun designed place, dark room

Fun building furnishings. Newly renovated bath, etc. The Desk staff were gracious and helpful. Our room was very dark, the windows look to a brick wall and the indoor lighting was minimal. Had a small TV at far end of a 20ft room. We werent there to watch TV but still. No fridge in the room . I have VIP status = allotted a free drink yet they declined to tell us the bar was closed for renovation. We did get a nice coffee @ coffee bar there in the a.m.Central location, so overall a nice place, Just ask for a room facing the street, and bring a cooler if u need for drinks or snacks

Very charming and vintage place to stay. No fridge in room or hair dryer or small things like that but very homey. Stay feels like you’re in an apartment rather than hotel. I loved the vibe!!

The hotel was cozy and cute but it was clean. Helpful staff.

“Meh”

Started out annoying as my room wasn’t ready on time on a Monday afternoon. The front desk said they’d text me when the room was ready. 45 minutes later I checked back and they said the room was ready but the previous agent left for the day. Okay cool thanks for that. I had problems with the parking and got a ticket though the machines weren’t working. Front desk kid couldn’t care less. It’s small and gives more of a hostel vibe than a hotel. And why is the bed basically on the floor. Wouldn’t come back.

Cool boutique hotel. My only complaint was the Saturday night noise below my daughters room, coming from the downstairs bar, the Boombox.

Dreadful stay. In the room opposite they were smoking (non smoking hotel) and set the alarm off in the middle of the night. The room floor was dirty. Not an enjoyable stay
