Great hotel in great location.
Great single room. Good size, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. Very convenient location for the university and town in a lovely part of town. Parking on road outside hotel was very easy. Will stay again.

6/10 Good

It was ok for our 1 night stay, but it was very tired and could do with a freshening up. That said it was in a great lication for what we wanted to do and the beds were very comfortable. The host communicated all necessary instructions for our arrival and departure in a timely manner. And I would consider staying there again in the future.

a great nights stay
2nd time we have stayed here and was great. Ann who runs it is great. we just had an issue as she had sent messages by the hotels.com system and we didn't get any of them

The ambiance was very good, proximity to city centre superb ample parking. On the top flat somewhat of a struggle

With a little attention to detail this could be a good place to stay. The carpet wasn't vacuumed well, the wallpaper was peeling, and the overall feel was sort of run down even though they claim it was recently renovated. The little cafe downstairs was nice. There is no other staff. It's like an air bnb where you get the keys from a lock box. We didn't really care for that.

Shabby but comfortable
The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. There were quite a few damage marks like holes in the walls, and everything felt a bit uncared for, which I wouldn't mind if the place was cheaper but it really was overpriced for what it was.

Lovely place but cold
Disappointed with no receptionist as rooms were cold only one small heater provided a with no receptionist we couldn’t raise the complaint . the cafe downstairs the lady was very helpful a friendly.

Large sunny room in Georgian row house near the Anglican Cathedral. No “front desk” or presence of staff. I was given the combination to a lock box for access.

Possibly the strangest hotel I’ve ever been to. Didn’t see anyone from start to finish just a call or texts from whoever. But room was great decor lovely Parking can be hit or miss - I was lucky. Breakfast in basement run by a different business and through door marked “Staff only”.

8/10 Very good

Very convienient location, plenty of on street parking. The room and bathroom were spotless with a comfy bed and even a fridge which some would find useful. On booking we were aware that we were booking a room in the attic however the only window is a dormer window which is fine but the catch is broken so making it impossible to close properly - therefore letting in noise and cold air and also the blind covering the window is rather worn and will not move on it's runners so not possible to wake up in the morning and seethe outside.

2/10 Poor

Never again
I would reconsider if you are thinking of staying here. Maybe OK if you’re paying £30. The room smelt and felt very damp, had stains on the carpet and walls, the bathroom and entrance to the room had a very bad smell. So bad, I decided I couldn’t even stay there. Very disappointed.

Acceptable, but no more.
The hotel was among the cheaper ones, and it was clean enough but not quite as clean as I am used to when travelling for work. Chair covers and curtains in the room was worn and stained. Comfy but a little hard bed. Clean sheets and towels. Dirty windows. When we reported blown light bulb and problem with shower, it was fixed really quickly. Overall an acceptable hotel, but don't expect it to look anything like the pictures. Very friendly ladies in the breakfast café in the basement, excellent food!

Lovely building but cleaner needs sacking.
Wasn’t quite what we expected, the building is on a busy main road going into Liverpool, but once inside it needed a little love and care. Several oops looked like they had been forced open! Once in the room we found a pair of used ladies nickers in the bedside light!!! And above the wardrobe door was chewing gum. Although the bed was comfortable it was two singles joined, and the crack down the middle wasn’t that comfortable. I think the final point was that the kettle couldn’t be filled out of the sink, you need to transfer water from a cup, that’s if the tap doesn’t swing around when you use it putting water all over the floor, maybe this happened before which would explain the missing shower door replaced with a curtain that doesn’t work either!!! Finally we would have had breakfast there but it wasn’t open until 9, and we wouldn’t have had time for that as the graduation was to start at 9.30. However the alarm constantly chirping away all night meant we were up in plenty of time.

Entry to The Georgian Town House Hotel Insofar as I was travelling some 300 miles from Scotland to attend a family function in the centre of Liverpool, and given my prompt departure to reach Liverpool, I had not seen the 8:19am e-mail instructions to gain access to the hotel and the allocated room. Thankfully, I had noted the contact number for the Georgian Town House Hotel; the operator was both patient and helpful as I struggled with baggage and a phone-in-hand to gain entry. I would suggest also sending the ‘check in’ instructions by mobile text-message in advance. Room Number 8 (Single) The room was clean and tidy, if a little cramped – there were, though, several indentations/ holes in the plasterboard walls. The bed was comfortable with clean linen, pillow and duvet. The bathroom facilities were fresh and clean, though with minimal space to place personal items/ toiletries. Though with minimal time to use the television, in turning it on to access news headlines and/or a weather forecast, the picture/video was in constant rotation on all channels with distorted sound – so, in essence, unusable – and no apparent access to radio channels. Since I only required accommodation for one night, the room was adequate to my needs - I am not sure it would have been satisfactory for a longer stay.
