The location is very convenient, just next to Keisei Ueno station. Room is very small, but this is something I know when reserved, so it is still okay, but the room is very dusty. You can see house dust on the table, also there is some dirt (which looks like bottom of shoes) on the refrigerator which makes me feel very uncomfortable.
The utilities provided is very limited (in the name of environmental friendly), unlike other Japanese hotels with similiar price. My room is on 2nd floor, and there was always the cleaning trolly before my room, and cleaning tools along the corridor. The front desk is always packed with overseas tourists and luggage everywhere. I feel like the hotel is very successful at attracting overseas tourists to stay, but the facility and manpower are not sufficient.
I stay 5 nights, and the average price is JPY20,000. I would not expect the room to be like this with this price, and would rather pay more in exchange with better room. However I must say that the staff is nice and helpful.
