Great historic hotel
An old historic hotel that has been updated but still has that classic old vibe. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and decorated nicely. Bathroom was smaller but updated with a large tiled shower. Located on Main Street so location is great.

Charming and nostalgic!
It's a vibe! Even before you walk in, you travel back in time. When we ooened the door, we were greeted with the sounds of the jazz band. Many guests and Cedar Falls folks were quietly enjoying the music in the lobby and bar rooms. Oh, and please keep the voucher system for breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed the small businesses that served breakfast. We will definitely be back!!

Comfortable stay
This is a lovely historical hotel that has been nicely updated. Very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet also. Can’t beat the downtown location. We were able to easily walk to shops and restaurants. $10 breakfast vouchers were given for each day at a choice of four local restaurants. Only negatives - pillows could have been bigger and more comfortable, and our room did not have a microwave.

I stay at the Blackhawk every time I come to town for work. BUT.... now that they don't have onsite parking (which is recent) - I would not stay here again. Having to drag a suitcase and other things 2-4 blocks is just horrible. Especially when its cold and bad weather. Unless they fix the parking issue, I would not recommend.
