When we checked in, we were given a room key that did not unlock the hotel’s front door. We did not realize this issue until late at night on the first day of our stay in Bangkok. Fortunate, a neighbor (not affiliated with the hotel), knows the management and went round her corner to report the problem. Bottom line: It look half an hour to get into the building. Our room, #305, has an excellent view of Wat Pho, which is beautifully lit at night. Then we discovered the bathroom in #305 has no hot water, making it impossible to take a shower. When we brought the issue to the attention of management the next day, their solution was to give us the key to an unoccupied room on the same floor, which had a trickle of hot water — nothing more.
