I was a bit stuck when I arrived at Trabzon bus terminus without a hotel booking. So I was pleased to find Nuralp at half the price of the hotels around the terminus, and walkable from the terminus, if a little steep up the hill!
It's organized as two rooms to an "apartment" sharing a bathroom and basic kitchen.
Nice views over the sea from the front room. And though the back room is a closed view, it benefits from a balcony.
The owners were pleasant and friendly. But making the stay really special was the daughter Ayse, who speaks excellent English, and gave me detailed information how to catch a dolmus into the city center, recommendations, and solved all problems.
It's possible to walk to a large modern mall down the hill. Or take a dolmus into the old center. Some shops and restaurants nearby too.
Overall made a very pleasant few days stay in Trabzon.
Note, like a lot of hotels in Turkey, it is close to a very loud Mosque! That can result in some shock early morning wakeups, until you get used to it.
