We stayed at this same hotel back in 2020 and had a very similar poor experience. We had decided then not to return, however, due to not paying attention to the location, made the booking based on good experiences at other Marriott hotels.
While individually, most of these items are not really a big deal, due to the number of issues that we encountered, we feel that the Marriott brand should find this location a poor representation of the level of service they usually provide.
Here is a list of issues that we encountered:
-Broken furniture (see photo).
-Torn and stained carpet (see photo).
-Torn wallpaper in hallway (see photo).
-Continuously received pop up messages on television that could not be cleared with the provided remote (see photo).
-Walls in the room had many scuff marks (see photo).
-Odd smell in the room (possibly mildew).
-The lobby men’s room toilet was clogged.
-The toilet seat in the room was loose.
-Trim in the room was separating from the wall (see photo).
-Cracking in ceiling of room (see photo).
-Window box in room has paint popping from moisture (see photo).
-When we requested an extra towel and washcloth from the front desk, they both turned out to have been given to us soiled.
