We were going to be checking in late so called to notify them that we wouldn’t be there until 7pm. The lady told us to text message when we arrived. When we got to the motel, there was no office, no place to check in. We sent a text message and the lady called us saying our motel room was unlocked and just to go in. We walked in the room and instantly not impressed.
The curtains were see through and did not close all the way. We had to tie them closed the best we could as we have two very young daughters and there were men walking up and down the “hall” constantly. No deadbolt on the door just a door knob lock and chain. The chain was attached to the door frame which was barely attached to the wall. There was a heater and air conditioner but the thermostat was broken so we couldn’t set a room temperature. The beds were very uneven, the door of the bed higher than the head and sunken in multiple places. Comforters had large holes in them. No phone In the room, no one gave us the wifi password and poor cell service. The bathroom was falling apart. No curtain on the bathroom window, plastic window lock with a piece of wood for security.
Because no one was there when we got there, we were given no room key, we couldn’t leave our belongings there and in the morning no one was there for us to check out or to discuss our concerns with the room. We had to send a text message and they thanked us and said hope we enjoyed our stay then charged our credit card.
