A great little hotel in the entertainment end of Phnom Pehn. Close to many good markets and restaurants, including a Michelin star Hong Kong, Crystal Jade, and fabulous French and local restaurants. You couldn’t visit without going to Khéma Restaurant Pasteur for french, or Oyster House for local seafood. The hotel staff, like all local people had the best hearts and consideration and the best manors. The hotel restaurant and roof bar were concise, but with extensive district views. All food, drinks and cocktails were very high standard. Breakfast had many choices.
My room was just the right amount of big with a comfortable bed. It was very clean and a bit cutely retro. The bathroom was nicely appointed and well stocked, although the entusiasm of the bummie washer was a bit of a shock 1st time round. I'd suggest half volume.
On to an important note for asian countries, security. There is only one way in and out of the hotel constantly scrutinised by the front desk. The in room safe was solid and key only. Very solid. In general I felt quite safe until after early evening. Later it is good to get advice from the staff. Even a few late stumbleins felt pretty unthreatened.
Very good shopping in the area.
