I had booked the quadruple room which showed four beds in the photos. Upon check in, they informed me that the quadruple room fits four beds, but comes standard with two and I would need to pay extra to have additional beds in the room for my two children. The room was quite small, so I opted to have three beds total instead, and was charged an additional 45,000 yen for my 8 night stay for the rollaway bed. The beds were quite uncomfortable and squeak
Within a few hours of staying in the room, my youngest started to have respiratory symptoms - stuffy nose, sneezing, excess phlegm. We had noticed black mold in the bathtub, so my husband purchased mold cleaner and thoroughly cleaned the shower and tub the next day. By the next morning, my son's symptoms had all cleared up. If we would have asked the hotel to clean the mold, I imagine they would have. However, it was shocking that they did not already have it free of mold before we even checked in.
We enjoyed the view from our room and the convenience of being located on the same floor as the laundry room. However, the machines' drying function is so poor, we had to rerun the dry cycle 3-4 times even for small loads, causing the process to take 3-4 hours per load. The coin laundry in the machi is much more efficient.
I did appreciate that the housekeeping staff always had the room cleaned very promptly - if we left for a couple of hours in the morning, it would already be picked up by 11am. The staff were all very polite.
