We told the resort that we would be arriving by train at 1 am but no one thought to tell us that we would be able to find NO transportation to get to the resort at this time. It would have been very nice and EXPECTED of the hotel we were staying at to share this information. The address on Orbitz is NOT the correct address. The map on Orbitz matched the map on five other GPS’s and phones that we compared on, but the address led to nowhere. The three Tuk Tuks that we asked refused to take us to Ban Lek because they said it was 23km away. On Orbitz, it says that the resort is only a 13 minute / 6.7km drive from the Prachuap Khiri Khan Station. We even asked a Tuk Tuk driver to call the resort last night to ask for directions, and he was told that the drive was over 23km. There is a huge difference between 6.7km and 23km!!! We would not have booked the resort if we knew it was this far away from the train station. Because it was late and we did not make other arrangements and my sim card expired the day before, we had to sleep outside in the rain. We rented a motorbike the next day to try and find the resort again, and we drove for 3 hours looking for the resort, asking 15 different people if they knew where Ban Lek was and only one person did, and he said that it was VERY FAR.
Hoping that I am able to receive some compensation for this terrible experience, considering half of the stay was purchased with earned Orbitz points that have been saved for over a year.
