My first issue was trying to find the hotel from the subway station. The map from the booking sight was incorrect. So was the Chinese map app. No taxi to be found for quite some time. After arriving, the check-in line was quite long, as was the wait. However, they did apologize and seemed sincere.
The room was in wonderful condition for not-brand-new. Quite good. It had a comfortable feeling.
Black-out curtains truly are. Bed was comfortable. The cleaning personnel were kind as well as thorough in their work. The breakfast buffet was quite good with great variety, with variations each day.
I don't expect people in another country to speak my language. However, I was pampered here, as all at the front desk I worked with did, cooks spoke some, doorman spoke some, and the concierge I dealt with was fluent (all in English).
Pleasant neighborhood. Subway 10 minutes away, food and shopping, plus plenty of trees.
I don't usually say this, but I'd be happy to stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. It wasn't quite perfect, but it was very, very good.
